Book Review: Good Strategy/Bad Stategy by Richard Rumelt
Good Strategy, Bad Strategy: The Difference and Why It Matters It’s seemingly rare these days to come across a business book that isn’t just a rehash of what others have said. If you are lucky to have not gotten that kind of book, you are often left with no action after reading the book. Most business books I find to be rather lame like this. Not this one. First off, it’s very well written. The writing keeps you moving and each case study is crafted to support the current thought or idea extremely well. You won’t find a checklist or “Next Steps” section. However, if you read, you will know your next steps. The ideas the author is trying to convey will just pop up at you. If you set any kind of strategy for any kind of group (even yourself I think), you should read this. Very practical and entertaining for any kind of book, head and shoulders above most business books.
