Beware! Facebook Will Roll Out Simplified Privacy Settings Today – The Consumerist. Sigh…./me facepalm.
While I sat at lunch yesterday eating my high protein, starting Atkin’s again, hamburger patty and a caesar salad, I came across an interesting article in the Oregonian. The article Why the ‘tell-all generation’ is cleaning up its act by guest columnist Annika Tohlen caught my eye, as we all know I’ve been giving Facebook the stink-eye as of late. (kill a few birds (not really peta) with one stone; facebook & privacy & on Facebook a discussion I hope you can’t read unless on my friend list.)
I’ve been asking my friends on Facebook about how they feel about the privacy issues Facebook is making us face, on a very frequent basis I might add. There seems to be two groups, those who don’t mind that Facebook shares info about them but that they as a user can say what other users can view or not. The other camp is more concerned with the behind the scenes stuff Facebook might be sharing. I fall in that latter camp. Anyway, great debate going on, less a debate and more “here is what you can do to tighten security”.
