What do you get when you cross a small processor, an iPhone app, photo/video editing, and external hard drive? A little piece of awesome that every photographer/videographer needs. No kidding.

Weight of a pitch black night in Death Valley will descend to take your breath away. Matched the next morning by your breath being taken by the vast horizon. Sounds fun, no?
Cowboy Dinner Tree, a must see place for great steak, atmosphere, and getting away from everything.
With the 2019 Rebelle Rally over and Rally Hangover ramping up, I relish at the bluesy feelings that lead to interesting insights.
This year I am not able to compete due to a busy work travel schedule. But I couldn’t let that stop me from feeling a part of the 2018 Rally. I’m very excited to pull your attention to two teams I and Team Fast ’n Curious have invested in. These are women facing personal challenges and their own doubts and fears about competing in the Rally. What makes them stand out is in the face of some very real challenges, they seek to help and inspire others through their efforts. They seek nothing in return other than for more opportunity to help others. This inspires me.
This time, last year, I thought I may pass out. Not because I was a single Mom who also happened to be running a company. Not because the summer was hot and record temperatures put us all on edge. And it wasn't because of anything in the external world. It was my own feelings and beliefs.
For most of my life, I've sought leadership positions in anything I do. I've always chalked it up to supportive parents who placed a mantra in my head, "achieving starts with believing." Growing up, I was dyslexic. Seeing life through that lens has always trumped everything else. I had to work very hard to excel at things. But what was natural in my personality was being a leader.
Come see Rebelle Rally Team Fast 'n Curious at the Tillamook Jeep Jamboree, June 8-10, 2017!
Kickass video by YETI on some women in Alaska, living the life you want, deferring to men in the room....

Exploring is in our blood, our genes. Realizing not everyone likes to venture into the unknown as a species, we explore. Maybe it's because the iron in our blood was born of the Big Bang. Pumping through our veins is the stuff of comets, planets, and stars.
This article isn’t about the brain, or is it? Perhaps you have seen or heard about the explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) around written language and graphics. Which operates not all unlike our brains. Thousands of images and styles are shown to the AI, and a framework of commands is created so we can manipulate all that information.
The power of a larger group, like society, has a way of dumbing us down. Be a chimp or not is the question.

"Some periods of our growth are so confusing that we don’t even recognize that growth is happening. We may feel hostile or angry or weepy and hysterical, or we may feel depressed. It would never occur to us, unless we stumbled on a book or a person who explained to us, that we were in fact in the process of change, of actually becoming larger than we were before.”
Hello! Welcome to 2021; I hope it’s a far shot better than 2020. I’m sure we all do.
Some of you may remember or subscribed to my Sunday Roast newsletter. I shared great articles, read in the week, quotes, and my own thoughts on things. Millions of people across the globe struggle with anxiety, so I'm in good company when I say I've struggled as well. I still struggle, but I have made some great personal strides in dealing with it, and that is what I'd like to write about today. This is not a scientific survey, even if I am a scientist, this is my personal learning about these things over a long span of study.
I get a lot of interesting flack over saying, “Courage is more important that confidence.” And the nay-sayers are not wrong, confidence is extremely important. But it’s not what comes first, in women at least.

An awesome book I enjoyed a lot about how to tame our negative thoughts and lessen anxiety.
“Courage Over Perfection,” is what I say, “Brave, not Perfect” according to Reshma Saujani. From the founder of Girls Who Code, an amazing non-profit that seeks to get more girls into STEM. A must read!

Most of us know ourselves, kinda well. Be honest, how well do you know your behaviors and patterns? You really don't. How many times have you heard from your partner, "you always do that!"

There is a lot more to the idea of one having a 'sense of direction.' All animals, even humans, have some sort of a sense of direction. If you are my grandmother, it's weak, you may not be able to find your way out of a wet paper bag. If you are an avid outdoors person, your sense of direction is probably more developed and acute. Weak or strong, we all have a sense of direction. But where does that come from, and how does it work?
Being adrift in life happens to many of us, a lot of the time in life. It seems to happen when we wander off the path of some journey we were taking. Or when we are moved out of our comfort zones. Adrift means a state of confusion for the brain; it doesn't know what to do with uncharted territory.

It was an amazing year for literature consumed. See what I chose to spend time with this past year. Also, the top few books that made a significant impact on me.
How to describe what it's like for 38 teams to drive off-pavement without GPS and cell phones from Nevada to near the Mexico border - with only maps, compass, and roadbooks? With the stunning landscapes, capable vehicles, incredible competitors, and epic course of our 2019 Highlight Video. Enjoy.

With the 2019 Rebelle Rally over and Rally Hangover ramping up, I relish at the bluesy feelings that lead to interesting insights.
Last night I had a blast presenting my story and experience with the Rebelle Rally. I was in front of a large group of rugged NW men and women Jeepers. After, I realized I'm still bursting at the seams to tell my story and experience. The most prominent themes around that always gravitate to how much the Rally changed me. It may be a competition, but it's really a transformational tool for a person.
This is without a doubt, one of the best books I have ever read in my life. If not one of the most important books I think everyone on this planet should read.
The worn wood bench creaks as I sit down. I’m early by two minutes, Cannon Beach Bookstore isn't quite open on this gray day in October. This particular bookstore is a favorite, from local topics to classics. It’s almost in the realm of pilgrimage when near Cannon Beach, Oregon, I have to stop and wander amongst the books.
